Are you a Vulnerable Customer?
If you are vulnerable, Reventus are here to help. We focus on helping you regain control of your finances to enable a repayment plan that is both affordable and realistic to you and our client, we aim to help people out of debt, in preference to getting debt out of people.
We know from our vast experience that debt collection can be unsettling and new to a lot of people which is why we have put together this fact sheet to help remove the stigma and allow you to ask for the help you may need.
What is a vulnerable customer?
Vulnerability can be caused by many different situations that life throws our way:
You have been affected by the recent pandemic or the cost of living crisis
You have a disability
You have mental health issues
You are aged over 65
You are pregnant
You don’t speak English as a first language
You have suffered an emotionally situation e.g., divorce, bereavement, redundancy.
At Reventus, we are committed to being able to support our most vulnerable customers. Our Welfare Team can only do this if we are aware of your circumstances. We will register you on our system, look at your case individually and then outline to you the best way we can help. Whether that is signposting you to a relevant organisation that can help you get back on track or just to walk you through how best to deal with the accounts we hold for you.
We may require you to send in a form of proof to evidence your circumstances and this will enable us to give you the right help we believe will assist you.
Template letter to send to Creditors if you need to reduce a payment agreement for non-priority debt to be able to pay priority debt.
WELFARE TOGETHER
We have partnered with Welfare Together who support our vulnerable with helpful advice and guidance.
Welfare Together understand the struggle and fear of vulnerable people in debt
Nobody chooses debt. Household bills, such as energy and shopping, have increased over the last few years; and this has affected households across the UK. Of course, this means the number of people in debt has also increased. For some, perhaps, the level of debt is temporary and manageable. For others, the household income simply isn't enough to cover everything.
Welfare Together know that asking for support is hard. It is frightening making that first call, sending that email, or responding to a tricky text. However, Welfare Together are there to offer the help, support, and guidance you need.
We have partnered with Welfare Together to provide you with a resource that is dedicated to help you with finances and build up some financial resilience. We'll work together to understand your personal circumstances and create an actionable personalised plan that best helps you. With Welfare Together on your side to review your benefit payments, discretionary housing payments, and hardship grants, your financial position should soon become more robust.
